Elucidating the molecular mechanisms of cognitive decline in atrial fibrillation

The goal of this study is to use a novel mouse model of spontaneous and sustained atrial fibrillation exhibiting the unique phenotype of reduced cognitive dysfunction from an early age, we aim to understand the cardiac, neurologic and systemic mechanisms in which atrial fibrillation causes cognitive decline.
